st: RE: Multiple comparison: non-parametric test

The -smileplot- package, downloadable from SSC, can calculate P-values adjusted for multiple comparisons. In Stata, type

ssc describe smileplot

to find out more. There is also a Stata Journal draft about -smileplot- (Newson et al., 2003), and a Stata User Meeting presentation about -smileplot-, downloadable on my website (see my signature below).

For more about the parameters underlying so-called "nonparametric" statistics, Siddharth might like to refer to Newson (2002). A draft of this can also be downloaded from my website.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes

Roger

is there a way to calculate adjusted p-values for a non-parametric test (rank-sum) in stata?

If not, what is the alternative? Thanks, Siddharth.
